Pipe recycling

Aylesbury Granulation are specialist reprocessor and help many businesses with their PE Utility pipe recycling.

We work with utility companies directly, contractors and waste management companies  to ensure efficient and effective pipe recycling.

How does Pipe Recycling work?

Pipes come to our site ready prepared for recycling (for more information on this, read on). The amount of work prior to granulation depends entirely upon their size.  For example, some pipes need cutting in to 1 metre lengths before delivering to site.

Pipes need to be PE80 or PE100 (with no metal lining) and have no contamination, for example PVC piping.

The pipe is fed into our shredder and then inline to the granulator, the machinery cut the shred into smaller pieces which are 12mm in size.  This is called regrind.  We sell the regrind and it will be made back into more new products.

Do you get paid?

Yes – utility pipe is an industry grade in the recycling industry. Please get in touch and we can discuss what the current rebate rate is for utility pipe recycling.

Our rebate rate (as is the industry norm) is a delivered-in price. However, if you do not have transport yourself, we can arrange transport for you at cost.

Once we have finished processing your material, we weigh the plastic regrind. We provide you with a rebate statement, against which you raise an invoice. Our payment terms are 30 days.

What do we need from you?

Materials need to be fit for recycling, so they need to be sufficiently clean and free of other wastes or plastics. So it is important that only good quality single stream pipes are stored on your site for pipe recycling with Aylesbury Granulation.

If we can help you in any way then please do not hesitate to contact us and let’s discuss this further.
